Aluminum is mined from raw alumina. The aluminum used for shutters is processed and mixed with other metals to produce a T5 strength grade, which is one of the highest grades available. This grade allows the louvers to span large widths without bowing or deflection, and provides a high level of resistance to impact. The raw aluminum is powder coated in a range of colours to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
